Canonical and BQ have partnered to create the BQ Aquaris M10 Ubuntu edition, the first tablet powered by the popular Linux distro Ubuntu for the consumer market.
Featuring a 10.1 inch multi-touch screen, a MediaTek Quad Core Processor, 2GB of RAM with 16GB of internal memory with up to 64GB expandable memory via its MicroSD slot, the BQ Aquaris M10 Ubuntu Edition promises to give consumers a viable alternative to Microsoft’s Surface line, Apple’s iPad offerings and even fellow Linux-based Android tablets.
Capable of capturing 1080p video from its camera along with the capability of taking stills with its 8 megapixel rear-facing camera or 5 megapixel photographs with its front-facing camera, customers may find the BQ Aquaris M10 Ubuntu Edition to be a very compelling choice to capture timeless moments.
Currently, as of this writing, the BQ Aquaris M10 Ubuntu Edition is available for pre-order on the BQ store site here.
Additional device specifications can be found on the official Ubuntu site here.
