Proverbs 15:29

29 Yahweh is far from the wicked,
    but he hears the prayer of the righteous.

1 Chronicles 4:9-10

Jabez was more honorable than his brothers. His mother named him Jabez,[a] saying, “Because I bore him with sorrow.”

10 Jabez called on the God[b] of Israel, saying, “Oh that you would bless me indeed, and enlarge my border! May your hand be with me, and may you keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!”

God granted him that which he requested.

Luke 19:45-46

2 Chronicles 7:14

14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Psalms 102:17

He has responded to the prayer of the destitute, and has not despised their prayer.

Hear my prayer, Yahweh!
    Let my cry come to you.

1 Timothy 2:1-4

Proverbs 28:9

He who turns away his ear from hearing the law,
