Despite being released in September 2022, the successor to the Nokia T20, the Nokia T21, has yet to be released in the North American market.
The Nokia T21 does have some notable changes from its predecessor. The chart below lists some of the main differences between the Nokia T20 and its successor, T21:

The Nokia T21 was Android Enterprise Recommended certified in November 2022 and is listed to have monthly security updates until January 2026. As the T20 was released a year earlier, the monthly security updates only last until November 2024.
It appears that the updates to the Nokia T21 are incremental and oddly enough, the new screen seems to be less bright than its predecessor’s. Artists and note takers should appreciate the new pen support, and the increased megapixel count on the front camera should make for better quality video calls. Photographers will probably appreciate the LED flash when in lower light conditions as well.
With the absence of the T21 in the North American market, one can speculate that the T20 may not have done too well with sales. Samsung’s dominance of the North American market may take some time to crack, but it’s good to see some more competition in this space and hopefully another foot forward for Nokia, should they release the T21 in North America soon.
