Charges dropped for South Korean who followed North Korea on Twitter

Twitter Follow

A 73-year-old South Korean man was acquitted of changes brought against him for distributing pro-North Korean content through his following North Korea’s Twitter account. Under The National Security Law, any activities that undermine the state or promote South Korea’s northern neighbor, are considered ‘criminal’ acts and are punishable with jail time.

While Lee may’ve gotten a lucky break from his fateful follow on Twitter, he still faces charges of posting pro-North Korean content on his blog.
